Slow day today

Hi angler's It was another very slow day. However for the first time in the trip we managed to get a couple of nice fish in the morning. We spent some time today looking around the island to make sure we weren't missing something. All the life around is right where we have been fishing. We picked up a few fish in the afternoon. The whole time thinking that we might get a good shot at any time. Once again it didn't really happen. I believe the big fish are still here, just not biting right now. At dark it was time to wrap up the trip and head for the Cape. Despite the slow times, we still managed to scratch up a good trip. Much of our fish on board is well over 100 lbs. The fact that this is always a great bunch of guys always helps to make a great trip, no matter what the fishing is like! My next report will be the jack pot winners when the boat returns to San Diego on the 9th. Shawn will be running the boat home from the Cape. If they see anything interesting, Shawn will send a report.

The Aloha Spirit runs 5 AM trips out of CISCOs in Oxnard. We target White Seabass, Calico Bass, Yellowtail and Halibut when available. We also will run Rockfish and Lingcod Specials. Call CISCOs at (805) 382-1612 or BOOK ONLINE.
