http://www.sportfishingreport.comSo reported Doug Neal at Almanor Fishing Adventures. "The thermocline begins at around 18 feet, and that's a good place to start during the early morning hours", said Neal. "After the sun hits the water, it's all about downriggers, and we have been running our stuff from 43 to 53 feet down.
"If you don't have downriggers, the bait bite has also been good. Meal worms and crickets are a good bet these days, as the hex hatch slows there is less food around, and fish are picking up everything they run into.
"We have seen rainbows in the three pound range, and lots of them. Browns are random, and the salmon that bite have all been running small."
