We have had some hot days and the water temperature is up around 80. Your best bet for bass would be the early morning bite. I've spotted some 3 to 4 pounders on the north end of lake 1 and some lunkers swimming around the dock on south lake 4.

18,000 lbs. of Catfish has been stocked into the lakes so far this summer. Next stock is due to arrive by the end of this week. 1,000 lbs. of Channel Catfish from the Imperial Valley will be split into lakes 3 and 4. Mealworms with a marshmallow is the local's favorite bait.

Bluegill are plentiful in all of the lakes. Check out the north and west side on lake 1. The water is clear and you will see groups of Bluegill near the shore.
