Current Lake Conditions:
Bring callibaetis emergers and cripple patterns, #16 Pheasant Tail Nymphs, a couple Zebra Midges. Bring ant patterns too! Look for rising fish and cast to them trying not to put them down. These fish will cruise in circles near the rise form left behind by a big brown or rainbow. These fish have adapted to all the kayak activity. Yes, a boater will put the fish down, but the fish will resume feeding. Afternoons are tough and a great time to go get an ice cream sandwich from the concession store. Near sunset, park yourself in your float tube or pram near the middle of the lake and cast #16 Elk Hair Caddis, twitch is softly, slowly. Should work! Enjoy!

The Fly Shop's ? Tips:
Using a float tube or a pontoon boat, paddle out into the lake and look along the edges for cruising rainbows and browns. RIOs Aqualux Intermediate Sink Tip is a perfect line for retrieving and stripping Pheasant tail nymphs and Callibeeotis. Use a floating line and leader tapered to 6x with a bead head PT with a very, very, very slow retrieve. Fish will find your nymph and take it, but don't set the hook! Just lift and let line out until you can bend the rod without first breaking the fish off.
