http://www.venturasportfishing.comLite-load fishing continues to benefit the anglers aboard the Island Spirit! They started the day at Santa Cruz Island in grease flat conditions... fishing in the shallows produced lots of red snapper, and chucklehead rockfish. Lingcod, sheephead, sculpin and whitefish also found themselves in the ice chest. The quality or size of these fish today was outstanding! Coming home, Captain Jesse made a stop on a local wreck to see if the bass would bite again. Previous stops this week have produced straight limits. Today the sand bass didn't bite, but we will continue to target them on our way to, or on our way back from the islands.
Good fishing and a great way to end the weekend. Plenty of elbow room for anglers aboard the island spirit..
Monday, things pick right back up for the "spirit".. 6am departures daily.
Pacific Eagle also starts running overnight trips again. First one departs Monday night at 10pm to fish Tuesday. They are online every day this upcoming week!
During the weekdays.. of course the loads are very lite. If you have a day off, or can take one.. don't miss out!
