FISHING UPDATE! Local island fishing has been outstanding with some of the best bottom fishing we've ever seen! Huge red snapper and lingcod coming up double. Both the Island Spirit 3/4 day and Pacific Eagle full day trips this past Sunday limited everyone out on quality fish.
White seabass have started to pop again in the counts as well, so we look to keep our full day trips busy looking for the "WSB".
HUMBOLT SQUID have since moved into out waters.. big numbers coming from other local boats, so we have put together a few everning twilight trips to target the giant squid.

UPCOMING TRIPS! Monday through Sunday, Pacific Eagle will be departing at 5AM running FULL DAY TRIPS.
Departing then at 5:30PM the Pacific Eagle will be running TWILIGHT trips for the humbolt squid this Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
Island Spirit will be departing at 6am Friday, and Sunday morning for 3/4 day trips. Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the Island Spirit will be running twilight trips for the humbolt squid departing at 5:30PM.

PACIFIC QUEEN coming to VENTURA LANDING!

• Targeting: ALBACORE
• Departs: October 5th at 6pm, Ventura Sportfishing (Ventura, Ca.)
• Returns: October 7th at 8pm, Patriot Sportfishing (Avila, Ca.)
• Cost: $425, meals and snacks included, limited to 24 anglers
• Return transportation to Ventura provided

The timing seems perfect with reports of albacore already coming in from the Morro Bay/Avila area.

After docking in Avila, captain Bill Cavanaugh and the Queen will remain in port running a few trips for Patriot Sportfishing. The Pacific Queen will return to Ventura Sportfishing in the middle of November to finish out the season. March 1st of the 2012 season, the Pacific Queen will start running full time out of Ventura!
