EAST WINDS DOMINATED THE WEATHER.....NOT STRONG, BUT STEADY. A FULL MOON HELPED THE CAMPERS FIND THEIR WAY AROUND AT NIGHT.
JESS RANCH DELIVERED 1,200 POUNDS OF VERY NICE LOOKING TROUT THIS WEEK.
The "Emerald Trout" are still being taken here.....Ryan A.Flannery of La Mesa caught a 5 pounder using night crawlers. He is keeping things quiet because he won't disclose where he had the good fortune. That happened on Friday the 7th.
On the 8th Dylan Brown caught two nice trout with the largest weighing in at 2-1/2 pounds on Fletcher Island. Mercedes Wiess (13 years old) from Lake Morena caught a 4.25 pound rainbow using night crawlers from the north finger jetty and Mario Molina caught a 1-1/2 pound trout using power bait at Labrynth Cove.
The 13th proved to be a productive day when Theresa Deaett of Boulevard was all smiles as she limited out in trout with the largest being 3 pounds near the reeds.On the 13th Zach Paciorek landed a 5 pound trout using a rapala. Lisa York and Lee DiBernardo of Cuyamaca Woods both caught their limits of trout also near the reeds.
Saving the best for last, on the 14th Larry and Cherokee Paul of Poway caught 3 trout totalling 7-1/2 pounds with the largest weighing in at 5 pounds/3 ounces on the north end of the dike......

THE WEATHER WAS UNSETTLED FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS THIS WEEK. OVER AN INCH OF RAIN FELL. WE EXPECTING JESS RANCH TO DELIVER FISH NEXT WEEK. THE 13TH ANNUAL O.P. BALL MEMORIAL "FISHIN IN THE PINES" KIDS DERBY WAS A GREAT SUCCESS. LOTS OF KIDS CAUGHT NICE TROUT, HAD LUNCH AND WON SOME GREAT PRIZES. LINDSEY LEMERT WAS THE GRAND PRIZE WINNER WITH A 3.10 POUND TROUT.
