Lake Mead Fish Report 06-19-07

Nevada Department of Wildlife

Report Date:

http://www.ndow.org

Boaters have been finding some success for both smallmouth and largemouth bass in the upper reaches of the lake. The fish have been holding near structure and brush. Anglers have been taking the fish with crankbaits, plastic worms and tube baits. Stripers are beginning to push shad to the surface and creating some opportunities for top-water fishing. Top-water action should pick up as striper boils increase in intensity in the coming weeks. Some anglers continue to reel in small stripers on cut bait and live shad in the Overton Bay arm.
