Recent waterfowl success been hampered somewhat by the full moon, reported local waterfowler Harry Boyle. "Hunters are still doing OK, even with the full moon", said Boyle. "We did not limit out today [Thursday], but the birds we did get are in wonderful condition. A lot of clubs still don't have water, but the storms forecast for this weekend could help the hunters out quite a bit."

The already productive coho salmon fishery on Lake Oroville got another shot in the arm recently, as nearly 230,000 juvenile coho salmon were planted as part of a co-operative project by the Department of Water Resources and Department of Fish and Game.
