Trolling for trout provided fair action, and flat-lining Rapalas and Owner cultivas around Santa Cruz Bay and Arrowhead Island were the best fishing spots and baits. Action for the Rainbows will get much better in the near future, as there is a 4,000 lb. plant scheduled for Friday March 16. Then on April 4th we will be receiving a 4,500 lb. plant of Nebraska "Tail-Walkers" and then another 4,000 lbs. from Calaveras on April 13th. These stockings are to beef up the fishery from the upcoming trout derby April 14th and 15th.

Steady action for both smallies and largies can be had using a variety of baits. Spinerbaits, texas rigs, crankbaits and drop shot have all been working. The bass have been scattered from 5' to 20' in the water column in the main lake and secondary points. Fishing for Carp has been sporadic, but they are full of roe and could start to spawn anytime. All other species were once again slow.
