http://www.parchersresort.netAlthough we did see some wind this week, weather and lake conditions remain ideal with the main body of the lake completely ice free and the back of the lake thawing fast.
The boat ramp is still high and dry (barely) and boat rentals won't start until May 17th but shore anglers and float tubers are having great success on just about anything in the tackle box right now. Fishing right by the boat ramp and in either corner of the dam has been producing limit-style fishing with a few bruiser holdovers in the 2-3 lb range coming in. Still no confirmation on any of the 6-10+lb holdovers from last year being caught yet...but they're there.
DFG stocking should being this week to supplement an already solid population of holdover 'bows from last season. The Rainbows are in spawning mode so catch & release of non bait-caught Rainbows is encouraged during this time.
South Lake Boat Landing will have boats, kayaks and pontoons (hopefully) available for rent starting May 17th weather permitting. To kick off the season, Parchers Resort and South Lake Boat Landing will be putting in a heavy load of trophy fish just prior to opening so look for the big fish bite to really take off over the next month.
