Trout have been biting well around the dam and in Johnson's Bay on needlefish and rapalas early and late. Drifted nightcrawlers are also effective in the mid-morning through the afternoon. The 'bows were reported to be as deep as 60' in some areas.

Both Largemouth and smallmouth are on the chew. They are taking reaction baits, top waters and jigs all over the lake. There have been spots of shad pushed up on the bank in Santa Cruz and the Storke flats area.

Crappie are coming out of Santa Cruz and Cachuma Bays on mini jigs and mealworms. Catfish are holding in the creek channels in the backs of coves. Mackerel is still producing the best followed by package baits for those cats.

Bow fishing for Carp has slowed in the morning but is still good in the evening around the island and by the chalk cliffs. Bluegill can be found in the backs of shallow coves as well as jack rabbit flats.

Both Largemouth and Smallmouth are still biting on top waters early and bottom bouncing techniques during the day. Crappie made a good showing as well with slabs up to 2 lbs.......

Both Largemouth and Smallmouth bass bit well last week on top waters, as well as shallow cranks and most shad imitations. Trout turned on a bit as well and leadcore fished 5 to 6 colors with Rapalas seemed to be the most productive. Drifting 'crawlers by the dam also accounted for some nice hold-over fish. Catfish are still biting well on cut mackerel and packaged baits in the backs of coves. Crappie are hitting mini jigs and mealworms in Santa Cruz,......
