"We got a late start today," said the report from Red Rooster III July 24. "We didn't get into the area until 2:00 in the afternoon, but we ended the day with 93 mixed fish. 40 dorado, 27 Bluefin and 30 yellowfin; also 4 tagged yellowtail. The action was there. The Bluefin were the better size fish, up to 30 pounds and the other fish were marginal but still worthy to keep. Almost all the yellows are throw-back size and quite a problem to deal with. We did mange a couple decent fish though. We are hoping for a grey bite in the morning and then string together a couple stops before the afternoon lull. The evening showed promise and we will look forward to that as well."
