"We had a short day with the distance from home," said Red Rooster III skipper Andy Cates July 26. "We fished until noon and wrapped it up. We hit two nice spots of Bluefin. At one stop we hand 15 going and the chaos resulted in heavy losses. Another school where we picked up a handful of tuna. Kelp paddies offered just a few fish and really not much to speak of. With the choppy weather it was challenging and as the weather gets better we should see a better caliber of fishing. Very thankful for the great action and variety we had on this trip and ready to do it again tomorrow."
