Another mixed-bag fishing week from Puerto Morelos that reflected a 13-fish variety for the anglers, including a couple of sailfish that had been strangers for the past 2 weeks. The area seems to have settled into a period of calmness and for the time being, there is no inclement weather on the horizon for this area. The overall fish counts for the week reflected 2 sailfish, 27 dorado, (the fish of the week) 2 blackfin tuna, 1 king mackerel, 11 giant Atlantic barracuda, 10 bonito, 4 wahoo, 5 grouper, 8 triggerfish, 2 banana fish, 2 pargo and 3 mutton snapper.

PM Climate: Partly cloudy days with a good mix of sunshine and stable temps that are holding from 74 nights to 92 daytime highs.

Sea Conditions: Excellent sea temps that remain stable at 85 degrees over the entire area and mostly light & variable surface breezes that flow in from the easterly directions.

Best Fishing Areas: This unique area begins less than a half-mile from the entrance to the Marina El Cid and extends outbound in all directions from there.

Best Bait: There has been no change as the long trusted fresh caught ballyhoo provide the "ammunition" for all of the sportfishing boats in this area.
