http://www.dfg.ca.gov/news/The California Department of Fish and Game and NOAA Fisheries have closed the commercial ocean salmon fishery between the OR/CA border and Humboldt South Jetty, effective 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, September 19th, 2012. The 6,000 Chinook salmon quota has been met. All salmon must be landed in the above area within 24 hours of the closure.
