http://www.silverlakeresort.netFall is truly upon us this week, as temperatures have begun to fall and the aspen leaves are their beautiful bright gold color. With only a week to go in the season here at Silver Lake Resort the weather has been perfect the last few weeks but change is on the way, as we are suppose to get some colder temperatures and some precipitation this next week. Fishing over the past week has been a little slower than usual as we are coming off a fool moon. However, the spotty fishing has still produced some nice size rainbows and some great looking stringers. Dragging an Olive Matuka, a Green Wooly Bugger, or a Hornberg a few feet below the surface has produced some good results, as has trolling Tasmanian Devils or a Thomas Buoyant Speedy Shiner.
In the way of bait fishing, Orange, Garlic and Salmon Egg Red Power Baits have done well from shore or a boat and worms have also done well. If you like flipping a lure, work the road side of the lake throwing a Gold/Red Thomas Buoyant or a Rainbow pattern Kastmaster. Fishing season will stay open until November 15 but Silver Lake Resort will be closing on October 15th for the season, so this will be our last fish report of the season. We really appreciate all the folks that read our fish report and enjoy coming up to Silver Lake during the summer. It has been a great year of fishing and we are looking forward to a great winter full of lots of snow to help fill all the lakes in the Eastern Sierra with water next summer. Look for us at the Fred Hall Boat Show this March as we will have a booth and be giving away some great Silver Lake Resort Gear. Hope everyone enjoyed their summer at Silver Lake Resort, as we have enjoyed having you in the beauty of the Eastern Sierra and look forward to seeing everyone next summer.
