Mike Lackey docked his Vagabond at Pt. Loma Sportfishing November 3 after a ten-day trip with the San Diego Angler's Club. There were 17 passengers aboard including chartermaster Dwayne Patenaude of San Diego. "We had very good fishing," said skipper Lackey. "Our jackpot is best of species today, not the three biggest fish."

Don Rolstad of Bonita won his jackpot for the best yellowfin tuna, a 109-pounder he got with a sardine on an 8/0 Eagle Claw hook on 100-pound Maxima and 100-pound Line One spectra. He said he fished with a Penn 30 reel and a seven-foot rod of unknown make. Roger Williams of Laguna Beach had the best wahoo, a 65.6-pounder. It ate a sardine, he remarked.

Chartermaster Patenaude of San Diego found the best yellowtail, a 25.6-pound fish.
