"We had a good first day of fishing on this Izorline-sponsored trip," said the Intrepid's report for December 30. Most of the fish we caught were smaller than we are looking for but it was a great warm up. The bulk of the fish we caught today were 30 to 60 pounds with another 12 or so pushing 80 pounds and one fish at about 120 pounds. We released a bunch of smaller fish today. Steady action that kept everyone busy. We did see a little sign of bigger fish today, so we are optimistic for the days ahead. After another spectacular dinner prepared by Chef Mark and Kyle, I think everyone will sleep good tonight. Wish us luck, Bill Cavanaugh and the Intrepid Team."
