http://www.fishingvideos.com"We arrived at Alijos last night right, said the Shogun's report for May 2, "about 11:30 P.M., under choppy conditions. We quickly tanked up on mackerel and by about one A.M. we had the anchor down with good sign of yellowtail under the boat. It did not take long before we started getting bites and by 8 A.M. we had 51 beautiful grade 25 to 35-pound yellows with one kicker fish in the 55-pound category. Just after eight A.M. we pulled anchor and started toward home. Seas remain very choppy and we hope the weather will lay down for our last day of travel tomorrow."
The next day the boat reported with this summary: "After a bit of a rough ride last night, our weather has come down considerably and we are now enjoying a pleasant ride up the line. The crew spent the day scrubbing the rails while passengers passed the time with movies and card games. Josh and Brett prepared a beautiful five star prime rib dinner that was enjoyed by all. Our ETA back to Fisherman's Landing tomorrow morning should be about 9:15.
"All of us here at Shogun Sportfishing would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to Jack Nilsen and Gary Gillingham of Accurate Reels for all of their help in making this trip a success. Not only did Accurate bring tens of thousands of dollars worth of gear for everyone to try out, but they also brought fabulous gift bags for every passenger and even raffled off a couple of brand new rods and reels. Accurate Reels are some of the finest on the market and we are proud to have their gear onboard here on the Shogun. All in all we've had a fantastic trip complete with some beautiful weather and some good fishing as well."
