Trout fishing has slowed as water temperatures are putting them down to 20' to 30' in the water column. Only a handful of fish were reported last week. On the other hand Bass anglers have been treated to an excellent bite on topwater lures both early and late and plastics in the afternoon.

Crappie action is on the increase especially in the narrows. Santa Cruz Bay and Cachuma Bay have been good for small spinners and mini jigs. Catfish have been taking cut baits in the backs of coves all over the lake. Bow fishing for Carp has also been very good in the early morning hours and especially in the mid-afternoon in the narrows.

Shore anglers had mixed results on PowerBait and inflated worms at Marina Point and E Point. The Bass bite has been better almost every day for either......
