We had a wonderful time on this trip. Captain John Pittman and his crew did a good job. We left the dock around 10 pm. We went straight to the back side of Catalina Island. The crew set up the lights for the squid. What a sight to see, lots of Squid. They filled both bait tanks and filled all the containers, coolers & buckets that they could find. At about 6 am, we hooked the first Yellowtail on the boat. We managed to land three Yellowtail and bite shut down around 8:30 am. Our second Captain Jeff decided to search for more areas. Well the Yellows are no where to be found. But everybody had good time catching Calico. They're ranging from 3 to 5 lbs. Captain John & the crew did an outstanding job. If you're looking for a charter, this is an ideal boat. Lots of room to fish and the service is impeccable. The boat is almost brand new. The fish counts on this trip for 10 anglers: 3 Yellowtail (up to 35 lbs) 48 Calico Bass, 1 Barracuda, 1 Bonito, 2 Sheephead and 6 Perch.
