http://www.silverlakeresort.netSilver Lake has held its own this past week despite some very unusual warm weather over the past week. Temperatures in the upper 80's to low 90's didn't seem to slow fishing down to much this past week. We still saw a number of nice catchable rainbows being brought in as well as several very nice 3 to 5 pounders. The water temperature at the surface is at about 59 degrees so the fishing has been best deeper in the water or at the far end of the lake where Rush Creek dumps into Silver.
Berkley Mice Tails has been the hot ticket this week, all colors, as has anything bright in color. Berkley Rainbow Glitter Garlic, Garlic, Salmon Egg Red, Garlic Pinch Worms and Sherbet have seen great results from the bait fisherman, while Red/Gold, Hot Flash Pink, and Florescent Red Thomas Buoyant, and Panther Martins have also seen great results. Sierra Bright Dots, Red Humpy or a Mosquito have seen some nice results from our fly fishermen or using a spinning rod with a bubble works well too. As usual work at the far south end of Silver Lake where Rush Creeks dumps into the lake, you will see some good results.
Fish Of The Week:
Tanner Webster, pictured above caught a Brown Trout on Rush Creek tossing a Panther Martin that weighed in at 1 Pound 11 ounces (pic 11)
Young Nico Sanchez, Photo #1 of Riverside landed a beauty weighing in at 4 pound 4 ounces caught on Silver Lake using a Mouse Tail (Pic 8)
Chris Stanley, Photo #2 of San Diego had a great week and capped it of by hauling in a nice 2 pound 8 ounce from a boat on Silver using Salmon Egg Red Power Bait (pic 15)
Young Nic Murata, Photo #3 of Torrence had the ultimate catch of the week when he hauled in a beautiful 5 pound 3 ounce Rainbow from the shore of Silver Lake using a Night Crawler (Pic 6)
Happy Fishing and Good Luck!!
