Tough conditions at Bridgeport because of thick weeds

Pretty tough conditions for fly fishers currently. Thick pond weed in all the channels and near the inlets. Rainbow Pt. has open water in the 20 foot range and this is your best bet if you can find some clean, algae free water. Boat launching still possible by the "bath tub" area. Jeffery is still putting out rentals off the shore at the marina, call him for information on these and where to launch.

Eastern Sierra Fishing Report: Eastern Sierra Fish’N Conditions July 14th 2013
Hot Creek: Hot Creek is a very good fishing spot this year because it is a spring fed creek
Owens River: Very strong caddis activity with some smaller mayflies showing in late mornings on the Upper Owens
Crowley Lake: After the algae bloom recedes fly fishing will improve at Crowley Lake
San Joaquin River: Very good fly fishing conditions on the San Joaquin, good water levels
East Walker River (CA): The East Walker has been tough this year, flows are usually in the 70's
East Walker River (CA): West Walker fishing well. It is running low for this time of year but still plenty of pocket water
Owens River: Middle Owens River is a good place to fish these days
: Conditions are very good on most of the drive/hike to upper elevation lakes
