The problem with fishing at Rock Creek is finding the fish

Water Conditions: The flows at Rock Creek are at 31cfs as of 8/1. The stream is clear!

Fishing Conditions and Hatches: Because of the busy weekend creek and the lake has been hit pretty hard. Not saying you get in some fish but might have to look a little harder to see fish.

Recommended Flies:

DRIES: parachute adams, extended body bwo, hatch matcher, stimulator, rubber leg stimulators, chernobyl, light cahill, sierra brite dot, elk hair caddis, yellow sally, mini hot garcia's

NYMPHS: wd40, variety of midges, black beauty miracle nymph, mighty may sloan, copper johns, prince nymphs, micro mays, micro stones, tungsten psycho, s&m nymphs

STREAMERS: Goat Leech, Crystal Bugger, matuka, marabou leech, doc twin specials, bh carey bugger, hornbergs, belly ache minnow, double bunny, jawbreakers

San Joaquin River: Trout fishing on the San Joaquin is good, dry flies are a good choice
Crowley Lake: Lake Crowley fishing is fair to excellent, the algae is almost non-existent
Owens River: Fishing is slow on the Upper Owens, bright shiney nymphs have worked the best
Owens River: Fishing at the Owens River Gorge is very average right now
Pleasant Valley Reservoir: Most of the fish in the Pleasant Valley Reservoir have moved to the stream section
Rush Creek: Fish Rush Creek in the morning & evening hours. Dry flies have been the most productive
Owens River: Fish the clear water on the Lower Owens
Bridgeport Reservoir: The lake level at Bridgeport Reservoir is very low
East Walker River (CA): Fishing on the East Walker is slow

Hot Creek: Hot Creek is fishing well but you need to fish the deeper sections or along the banks
