Yesterday morning we awoke to glass water and fog. We dropped the jigs in at daylight and in no time spotted our first kelp of the day. As we circled it, WHAM, our first jig strike. That kelp produced a handful of yellowtail and a couple of dorado.

That was a lot of fun so we decided to do it again. After a bit of looking we had the opportunity to do it again for similiar results. That kept up for most of the day with the bonus of some schoolie yellowfin tuna thrown in in the middle of the day. We finished the day tired but smiling.

Today we scoured the ocean for the elusive long finned albacore tuna. Much to our dismay there is little to report except for that the weather is beautiful and we are looking forward to a delicious prime rib dinner. We did managed however, to put one angler on his first albacore and he partook in the long standing tradition of eating the albacore's heart which is always fairly entertaining to say the least. We are wrapping up our trip and will be in tommorow morning. Until next time Q105 out.......
