http://www.ranger85.comHi everyone,
As fall sets in, we begin to think of winding down and fishing the islands.
This past week, we had consistent fishing with Yellowfin, Bluefin, Yellowtail and Dorado hitting the deck.
The larger Blues are on the bite again, and will remain so as the water begins to slowly change and retreat.
These fish are in the 70lb class, and well, you know the story.
2013 will forever be in the books as the year of the Big Blues.
Triple digit fish were common, and I believe we will see more of them before the season is through.
The Ranger 85 departs from San Diego though the 3rd week of October, yet we only have space on 2 of our 4 remaining trips.
These trips are 2.5 Day Limited Load, and are of the best duration to give you the opportunity to successfully do battle with these brutes.
We depart Monday October 14 at 9pm and return Thursday 17, at 6am.
Also, departing Sunday October 20, at 9pm and return Wednesday October 23, at 6am.
Both of these trips are limited to 28 anglers and are value priced at $420 plus meals.
Don't miss out on either of these trips as the season draws to a close.
We also would like to highlight the start of our fall season in the Northern Channel Islands with our annual 3 Day Trip departing from CISC on Friday, October 25.
Fishing the Northern Channel Islands in the fall can be such a rewarding experience.
This time of year, the weather is the best...Indian summer yields warm days, and calm seas.
Our annual 3 Day Trip will target anything from exotic game fish such as tuna on the Cortez or Tanner Banks, possible pelagic's up off Conception or Arguello Canyons or scour the outer Islands for Halibut, Seabass or quality Rockfish.
A few spots remain available for this trip, so don't delay.
No matter your preference, be it San Diego offshore or Channel Islands diversity, we look forward to fishing with you onboard the Ranger 85.
See you at the rail,
Capt. Frank
