The Fall River has been fishing solid lately. Bwo's and midges are the name of the game. Fishing below the falls is now closed which limits a little bit of access. Streamers and nymphing are never a bad option out there. Little zebra midges, San Juan Worms, Egg patterns, Extended Body Bwo, Winkers Midge, and Wd40 are good patterns to have.

Deschutes River- Lower: October on the Lower Deschutes
Deschutes River- Upper: Upper Deschutes Fish Report, Oct. 8
Metolius River: The Metolius River can be one of the better fisheries during October.
Crooked River: The flows on the Crooked River are down to 72 cfs
East Lake: Last chance for East Lake which closes at the end of the month
Lava Lake: October fishing on Lava Lakes is less crowded & can be fantastic
Hosmer Lake: Streamers & buggers at Hosmer Lake can produce some awesome action for Brook Trout & Atlantic Salmon
Crane Prairie Reservoir: Crane Prairie has been fishing Okay

Deschutes River- Lower: Steelhead are in the Lower Deschutes from the Mouth all the way to Warm Springs
Deschutes River- Upper: The Upper Deschutes between Little Lava and Crane closes at the end of this month
Metolius River: September on the Metolius a time when the bugs can be insane
Crooked River: The Crooked river has been fishing fantastic with excellent dry fly action!
East Lake: East lake has been tapering off quite a bit, but should pick up when the weather gets cooler
Lava Lake: Both Lava Lakes can be one of the better options during the fall
Hosmer Lake: All the reports that have been coming from Hosmer have been excellent
Crane Prairie Reservoir: Crane has been fishing average lately
