Wednesday was the first attempt at night time drift style fishing. Capt. Jason is very excited about the new AVET 3-speed 80 size reels graciously donated by AVET REELS. The trip only turned up with 1 shark bite, but was just as much of a test of procedure and rigging for trips to come. They resume the hunt next week. Call Capt. The DOMINATOR has a 2 day trip departing 11/29 at 7:00 P.M. and returning 12/01 at 6:00 P.M. They will be fishing Colonet on an exploratory "Tuna, Yellowtail and Rock Cod trip". Limited to just 24 anglers, the trip includes Meals and Mexican Permits for $375.00 per person. There will be an additional $23.00 Visa fee to be paid the day of departure. The MISSION BELLE 3/4 departs daily at 6:00 A.M. fishing south of the border at the Coronado Islands. They are always on the hunt for big Yellowtail and chunky bottom fish. Adult fare is $128.00 with the Mexican Permit and Visa included. Kids under 16, seniors over 60 and active military with I.D. are $118.00 with the Mexican Permit and Visa included. A GOVERNMENT ISSUE I.D. IS REQUIRED FOR ALL PASSENGERS OF ALL AGES. ACCEPTABLE FORMS OF I.D. INCLUDE: DRIVERS LICENSES, BIRTH CERTIFICATES OR PASSPORTS.
The DAILY DOUBLE 1/2 day boat is currently in the yard for yearly maintenance and inspection. She'll be ready in the next few weeks. Trips are back online starting 11/23.
Meanwhile, the POINT LOMA is picking up the slack. Monday thru Friday trips leave at 8:00 A.M. and return at 3:00 P.M. They are targeting Bass, Rockfish, Sheepshead, Lingcod and Halibut. Adult fare is $45.00. Kids, seniors and active military are $38.00. The state license is $14.61 for the day and rental tackle is available for additional $13.00
*LOBSTER & CRAB HOOPING*
The POINT LOMA will be offering Twilight Hooping trips targeting Lobster and Crab starting on the 9th of this month. Trips are 6:15 P.M. to 11:00 P.M. Cost is $50.00 per person and limited to 10 people max. Price includes use of Hoop, Bait and Lobster Gauge. Anyone over 16 years of age will need both the CA. License as well as Lobster report card. Kids under 16 will only need the Lobster Report Card. CA. License is $14.61 and the Report Card is $9.46. Both can be obtained from us here on site before departure.

WE ASK THAT YOU ARRIVE AT LEAST 1 HOUR PRIOR TO DEPARTURE TO ALLOW TIME FOR CHECK-IN AND PARKING.
NO COOLERS OR ICE CHEST OF ANY KIND OR SIZE ON ANY VESSEL IN OUR FLEET. FOOD MAY BE BROUGHT IN A GROCERY BAG OR BACK PACK OR PURCHASED IN THE GALLEY ON BOARD.
NO OUTSIDE ALCOHOL OR GLASS BOTTLES ALLOWED. ALL BOATS HERE ARE LICENSED FOR BEER SALES. ALUMINUM OR PLASTIC CONTAINERS ARE FINE.

The HI-COUNT is leaving tonight (11-13-13) for their first Swordfishing trip of the year. Local commercial tips have told of Swordfish and Opah being caught close to home.
