http://www.sportfishingreport.comThe Eldorado is continuing to run shallow water rock fishing trips to San Nicolas Island leaving out of Long Beach Sportfishing at Berth 55. The fishing has been outstanding with full mixed bags of tasty rockfish hitting the sacks. Add to that the ever present opportunity to tangle with some true outer island monsters and you have yourself one exciting day on the water. Bruiser lingcod and grumpy sheephead hitting 20+ pounds have been hitting the deck on a regular basis so anglers needed to be on their game and ready to pull these big boys out on the rocks in order to land one of these trophies. Our recent trip saw 305 rockfish, 35 lingcod to 20lbs, 66 sheephead to 12 lbs, 41 ocean whitefish and 9 cabezon hit the decks for the lucky 32 anglers aboard. Check out the pictures!!! There is still time to jump aboard the Eldorado and fill those freezers before rockfish season closes on Jan 1st. Overnight trips are scheduled to leave at 9 pm on Sat 12/21, Sun 12/22, Fri 12/28, Sat 12/28 and Sun 12/29, returning the next day at 7 pm. Sign up on their website www.eldoradosportfishing.com or www.longbeachsportfishing.com or call the landing at 1-562-432-8993 to get on board.
