The weather has warmed considerably since last week and the trout action is improving along with it. The area near Big Bend State Park has been popular with anglers catching many trout in the two- to four-pound range. Night crawlers have been the bait of choice. With the cessation of the trout stocking program, anglers have been practicing catch and release to prolong their resource.??As the temperatures continue to rise, the bite from largemouth and smallmouth bass as well as the panfish should pick up.
