Weber River Fish Report

Anglers report good fishing for brown trout. They seem to prefer 1/8-ounce countdown Rapalas in rainbow trout color. Target the eddies behind rocks or the deeper pools. Don't neglect the fast moving water though. Some small browns were hitting on a crankbait slowly retrieved against or across the current. Another angler landed a 21.5-inch brown on a jointed floating Rapala earlier in the week. All cutthroat trout, or trout with cutthroat markings, must be immediately released from the Great Salt Lake to Echo Reservoir dam. Here's a look at current water levels for many Utah waterbodies, including the Weber River. Many thanks to Kevin Hammer for the report.
