Trout fishing is good as it gets, with limit style action all over the lake. Trollers flat lining C.D Rapalas, Kastmasters, and needlefish have been limiting, and from the shore it's been crawlers and powerbait. The bass bite finally starting to turn on for both largies and smallies and they have been taking just about any type of type of bait thrown at them. Catfish moving up shallow and have been taking cut mackerel, anf packaged dough baits. Crappie still coming in from the east end of the lake on trolled or drifted mini jigs and grubs. Bowfishing has been very good in the mornings in Cachuma Bay, and Johnsons. In the afternoon the windier the better, look for feeding fish in the mud lines. The annual trout derby will be held this Saturday and Sunday the 12th and 13th. Come join on the fun!
