Fish Report for 8-11-2007
Mike Keating brought his Spirit of Adventure home to H&M Landing August 11, after a three-day trip in pursuit of longfin. Some big ones were found, and they swept the jackpot spots.
Louie Diaz of Torrance won the top spot, for a 40.3-pound albacore. It took his sardine on a Mustad 2/0 94150 hook, he said. He used 20-pound Big Game line on a Daiwa 20 reel and a seven-foot Calstar rod.
Dan Blue of Cypress found a 37.3-pound albie that won second place, and Bob Proctor of Chino Hills won third place for a 37-pound albacore.
