The Madison below the dam is fishing like there's no tomorrow. Some bwo's on wet afternoons but mostly small nymphs are working best. Tim's Soft Hackle Stone has been the ticket trailing a small Prince or Shop Vac. Tim has had to tie so many of his little stones and Shop Vacs this spring he is looking forward to working on other patterns soon!

When Baetis emerge have a #18-20 BWO Sparkle Dun and you are set.

The river downstream of McAtee and to Ennis is fishing well now too. Look for some caddis activity if warm and calm. You will find a few pockets with the flow slow and quiet for trout to work the emergers and egg-laying females.
