Throwing really any little dry fly will produce fish... they won't be the biggest fish in the river, but there are lots of them. The bigger brookies are holding in the deeper holes and under the cut banks. Nymphing is going to be your best bet for those fish, also try some buggers and small streamers to entice these guys.
