These are the typical 25-30# fish we are accustomed to for island fishing. These fish are hungry, gobbling up anything unfortune enough to hit the water. Especially a flylined bait or surface iron.
Our 1/2 day boat, New Seaforth, skippered by Captain Bryan today, is also getting his passengers a piece of the action! Reporting in this afternoon with a Yellow on deck and good sign of many more to hopefully follow! And to top it off, lots of action on the Barracuda and Calico Bass! I would say the fish are ready. The Pacific Voyager returned from a two day trip with 67 Yellowtail, 90 Calico bass and 3 Barracuda for 14 anglers. The San Diego's 3/4 day trip finished up with 43 Yellowtail, 3 Barracuda and 15 rockfish. They will be departing Friday morning at 5:30 am for another shot at some great Yellowtail fishing. The New Seaforth has 1/2 day trips departing at 6:00 and 12:30pm. Calico bass fishing has been very good along with the occasional Yellowtail.......
