http://wildlife.utah.govOn May 20, the U.S. Forest Service reported that the Whitney Road was only open to the second switchbacks. Access is still a couple of weeks away. Try Hoop Lake with nymphs and jigs using a fly and bubble. The road is clear all the way to the lake, but the campground still has snowdrifts. At Smith and Morehouse, anglers report that the road is dry and accessible all the way to the dam. At Trial Lake, there are reports that the road is still snow coevred. The UDOT website indicates that the Mirror Lake Highway (SR-150) will be open on Memorial Day weekend.
