We targeted Wahoo yesterday with only marginal results as the Rocks were in a funk for one reason or another. A south swell was still present from the last storm down below and that isn't any good for that place. We did have a few shots at them anyhow and when ever someone lands their first ever wahoo it is always exciting.. We also got onto a spot of bottom dwellers that just wrecked us. The first few dropper loops that went down tied into something very large and broke everything off. Some of the gang and crew switched over to heavy gear and went back down only to have the beast on the bottom wreck the heavy gear as well. Who knows what we were hooking as we never got any of the dozen or so we hooked to the boat, not even the 100# gear could bring them up!! We are now off to another location down here in the lower zone in search of more action. Wish us luck
