LOWER: Anglers report good fishing with small flies or spinners. Grasshopper patterns are effective in August and September. Baits are allowed from below Olmstead Diversion dam, down through the canyon and town. Anglers report good fishing in the deeper pools and near undercut banks. MIDDLE: Anglers report fair to good trout fishing with flies that range from size 18 to 22. Bait is allowed in the stretch above Charleston Bridge to the Midway Lane Bridge. Please read the Utah Fishing Guidebook for the special regulations on the Provo River.
