http://www.kenssport.comWell, the last few days seem to have taken its toll on the East Walker. The temps are down a couple degrees, but the flow is also down. This morning our guide Andrew was down there and it seems the fish are finally getting a little stressed. We're going to start recommending laying off the river for the time being. It's not that you wouldn't be able to go down there and catch a few fish, it's more that you stand a good chance of accidentally killing them while trying to release them. My guess is that this condition will only last 2 or maybe 3 weeks and once the temps drop 5 or 6 more degrees all should be well. Our night-time air temps have been in the high 20's to mid 30's already so once the lake cools down the river will cool down as well. So if you're planning a trip to the EW and could possibly wait a few weeks that would be the way to go. We'll be keeping an eye on the health of the river and I'll keep you informed of any changes as soon as they happen.
