Still a lot of catfish coming out of both Santa Crus, and Cachuma Bay. Fly-lined mackerel once again the bait, and technique of choice. The kitties have been in 1' to 10' of water, and have been biting throughout the day. There's been shad all over the lake, which has the smallmouth population on a tear as of late. Traps, spinnerbaits, rip baits, basically any shad imitation gets bit when an active school is located. Largemouth not as willing, although some fish mixed in with the smallies. A few crappie holding under the docks to the right of the marina, and any other floating platforms around the lake. Carp have slowed way down for now, but still and can be had in shallow areas during the midday hours. FYI... the tackle shop is now located in the marina parking lot until new building is completed.
