The Madison in YNP is one of the best fishing options right now. The holes aren't loaded with fish yet but there are enough in them to catch a couple spawners. Now is a good time to get in there and swing or nymph the major holes before things get too crowded. There are a few Baetis and caddis around so a double nymph rig, rubberlegs and a small nymph will also work here. You can swing soft hackles like our soft hackle streamer and have success. On the sunny days your can spot these fish so remember to keep your eyes open. They're smart and spooky.
