http://wildlife.utah.govAnglers report mixed fishing success for rainbows, bass, walleye and small yellow perch from the shoreline and from boats. The best times to fish are the cooler hours of early morning and late evening, although small bass can be caught anytime. For trout, try a worm-and-marshmallow combination or a worm and floating PowerBait from shore. Another option is to use deep-diving lures. For bass and walleye, try casting into the rocky points and then bottom bouncing across the flats for walleye. Most of the walleye are small, and you can help the fishery by taking them home. Be careful of the afternoon winds, which can generate big waves very quickly. Improvements to the campgrounds and facilities -- and the addition of a new 3-D archery range -- have greatly improved the state park.
