Despite the rainwater, flows are very good and water clarity is excellent. The Magpie and Botts campgrounds continue to stay open, offering easy access to the river. Other upriver campgrounds are closed, but there are still pullouts that provide access to the river. The river through town was recently stocked with rainbow trout.
