We lost a lot to seals, the rocks and anglers not using the right gear, the right gear will make all the difference. We recommend that you use at least 40 lb set up for yoyo irons and 30 lb setup for the mackeral bait we are catching for bait. The bass rod and small reel are not the ticket for this type of fishing, we also had some Whitefish, Sheephead and assorted rockfish to round out the day. Very nice weather and all in all pretty decent fishing.

Capt Jeff checked in from the Freedom with a wrap up report for their overnight trip, we ended the trip with 173 Yellowtail with an average of 20 to 30 lbs and a couple pushing 35 lbs. The fishing and weather have been excellent, and we are headed out again tonight with a really light load.
