Catfish still providing most of the action here. Fly lining cut mackerel in the back of Cachuma Bay, and Johnsons Bay being the hot spots last week. Bass fishing has been dominated by smallmouth, and were reportedly taking crankbaits, and spinnerbaits early and late, and jigs in the midday hours. Bowfishing for carp has been good late in the day betweeN Johnsons, and Clark canyon. A few crappie were caught by the private fleet, but locations and baits were undisclosed. All other species took the week off.

Reports were hard to come by this past week, due to the lack of anglers. The rental fleet was able to tie into a few cats, although most fish were on the small side. It was last known that Santa Cruz Bay was the place to be, and now the shoreline directly across from the marina has been producing as well. Catfish still providing most of the action here. Cut mackerel or packaged doughbaits fished in the backs of coves and cuts all over the lakes was once again the way to go. Bass fishing has been fair using nightcrawlers or reaction baits on main lake points. A handful of panfish came in from the docks to the right of the marina, and any lace there is shade on the water.
