On Oct. 21, Aquatics Program Manager Justin Hart reported that fishing is improving. One group of four anglers that they caught 70 trout in the 20- to 22-inch range the weekend before. The party fished from a boat and had been jigging vertically or casting spinners, spoons and crankbaits. Justin says that chub meat is the best bait. On Oct. 25, aquatics technician Rick Berg fished on the bottom with chub meat and said fishing was fast for cutthroat that were below or within the slot.
