Few anglers are fishing at this remote water. Anglers reported this week that there was ice, but it was thin and has likely eroded because of the wind and rain. Nighttime temperatures are below freezing, so there should be ice on the reservoir soon. The road over Monte Cristo is closed. You'll need to access Birch Creek through Woodruff, from either Logan Canyon or Evanston.
