Anglers have had moderate success while ice fishing on the reservoir. The ice depth is currently at about four inches but will continue to thicken as nighttime temperatures drop into the teens. Night crawlers with a piece of marshmallow, PowerBait, and bright jigs have all been productive. The park will host its annual Ice Hole Invitational Tournament Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015. Additional events such as an ice shoe and Frisbee golf tournament are planned for the long weekend. Call the park for more information at 775-962-5102.
